Learning and practicing needlework since the age of seven, Susan began knitting at sixteen. Introduced to complex techniques by an accomplished aunt, her first Fair-Isle project was a full length 1970's A-line dress! Her first cables were Aran. In 2000, Susan started Susan's Greetings, a needle-arts portfolio enterprise. Offerings include custom knitwear and patterns, marketed as ESYS Signature Knits, knitting classes, plus a variety of other needle arts. Her one-of-a-kind lace and accessory items are marketed through the Heritage Craft Center of the Eastern Panhandle in West Virginia. Susan's designs have appeared in Cast On and Ultimate Knitting magazines. She has taught at ACMoore, Y2Knit and HCCEP.
