Stefanie Japel is the creative force behind the knitwear design company Glampyre Knits. Her work is a mix of modern-funky-urban and classic chic. Stefanie has designed patterns for yarn companies such as JCA / Reynolds, Tilli Tomas, and Artful Yarns. Stefanie's work has appeared in such publications as Interweave Knits, KnitScene, and Vogue Knitting magazine, as well as the online publications Knitty.com and Magknits.com. Her patterns are also included in several books: Stitch and Bitch Nation, Big Girl Knits, Knit Wit, KnitGrrl (I and II), and Not Another Teen Knitting Book. Stefanie has just released her first book, Fitted Knits (F&W Publishing) and is currently working on her second and third books. In addition to designing Stefanie also teaches knitting classes and will headline the 2008 "Knitting in the Heartland" convention.
