Myrna has taught many topics to many people, as a social worker, the director of an activity center for retarded adults, a Peace Corps Volunteer, an attorney, and a knitting teacher. The most important skill she developed was while teaching mentally retarded adults – how to analyze and break down any task into under-standable pieces. Myrna has taught classes and workshops at Black Sheep Gathering, NwRSA, MAFA, Camp Knitaway, and Midwest Masters . In addition to teaching she was also the keynote speaker at Minnesota Yarnover, Fibre Festival 2000 in Christchurch, New Zealand, and the Tasmanian Fibre Festival in Hobart, Tasmania. Myrna is the author of Stahman's Shawls and Scarves: Lace Faroese-Shaped Shawls From the Top Down, and Seamen's Scarves.
