Knitting has been my passion since I taught myself to knit at the age of 8; I started designing at the ripe age of 12. I haven't looked back since. The focus of knitting as a profession is now on getting children and teens involved. I've just finished a book that links a dozen great family read-alouds with over two dozen unique knitting designs. Titled Great Yarns for the Close-Knit Family, the book is ready to ship directly from my publisher, Hillside Education, or from Amazon. My first book of designs, published by a small Catholic homeschool publisher, is titled Glory of America Knits! and contains more than a dozen designs inspired by events depicted in a book series about American saints and the children they impacted. I continue to create designs for publication in the knitting periodicals (most recently, Cast On), books (most recently XRX's Best of Babies and Toddlers and Storey's 101 Designer One Skein Wonders) as well as self-publishing my designs.
