Kathy is an accomplished knitter, teacher, shop owner and nationally-recognized knitwear designer. At her shop, she has put together one of the most exciting up-to-date collections of yarns and accessories in the Western Pennsylvania area. She is founder & current President of the Laurel Highlands Knitting Guild. Many of her designs feature textures, cables, and novelty ribs, earning her the nickname "Cable Queen" at her local knitting guild. She is a member of the Association of Knitwear Designers. In addition to contributing designs to Knitter's, Interweave Knits, Vogue Knitting, Knit Simple, Knit.1, Cast On and other nationally published magazines, she is a freelance designer for Classic Elite, Nashua Handknits, Skacel Collection, K1C2, Tahki/Stacy Charles, and Lion Brand Yarns.
