Janet J. StephensAKD certified categories of hand knitter expertise:
Jan is a founding member of PKDG. She has a BA in Textiles and Communications with graduate study in Art History. She is APNR/TNNA certified as a Teacher of Advanced Knitting Design. Her first published pattern appeared in McCalls Needlework and Crafts in 1967, and since then she has had nearly 200 designs and articles in print. She is author of a certification course for Knitting Judges offered by TKGA and has co-authored a book on the subject, along with writing and lecturing on Historic Knitting. Jan is semi-retired and now lives in Roswell, Georgia with husband, Bob, and cat, Knittin Kitten.
